  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons rice apple vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2/3 cup water
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, corn starch, baking powder, egg white, and water until smooth. Coat chicken strips well.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.
  3. Fry chicken strips in batches for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients: honey, soy sauce, salt, vinegar, sugar, corn starch, and water.
  5. Heat sauce mixture in a pan over low heat until bubbling and thickened.
  6. Toss fried chicken pieces in the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
