Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 20 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (for coating)
  • Candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together butter and dark chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
  3. In a stand mixer, whisk eggs until frothy. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture along with sugars and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Combine dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking powder) into the egg mixture until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting into squares.
  6. Prepare the chocolate coating by melting semi-sweet chocolate chips with coconut oil.
  7. Dip each brownie into the melted chocolate, then place on parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  8. For decoration, mix powdered sugar with heavy cream to create icing for 'bandages' and attach candy eyes.
